Hollie goes in as unknown leaves as household name

David Hollie puts name on map at East Coast Pro

David Hollie is an imposing figure in the box. He's kind of a throwback looking guy with a long 6ft3in 208lb frame something like George Foster from the Big Red Machine in the late 70's. His quite nature and calmness sometimes gets misunderstood. A man of a few words but DJ carries a big stick.  Hollie has been part of the Scoutz program since his freshman year. He was nothing but a big ball of elbows and knees early on but he has grown into a great looking prospect that can hit the baseball with anyone in the USA. Hollie has a tremendous summer. First, he led his team to its first Region Title in over a decade. Secondly, he was selected by GHSA to represent Georgia in Oklahoma. He then joins Scoutz USA on it's second week of the season in in his first game back hits a monster homer at Furman University. The team goes 14-5 on the year and Hollie has two hits in the WWBA in Atlanta vs a couple of Team USA National Team Members. His triple was not only a rocket off the bat but a display of dynamic speed many had never seen.  MLB Scouts now knew the name David Hollie! He soon committed to play at Georgia Southern University in Statesboro,GA. After the WWBA David was selected by MLB Baseball to participate in the East Coast Professional Showcase. A last minute pickup Hollie wasted no time leading the Baltimore Orioles (GA/N Fl) team in hitting for the week that included a late inning 2 out 2 RBI Single to tie a game. Davie Hollie is special. He's a late bloomer that took time to grow into his long frame but now it's his time and we know that Hollie will not be forgotten in 2018. He is just beginning to blossom. In fact we have not seen his best and it may be 5 years from now when we do but he's got a legit shot to play on the big screen one day and it may be sooner than later. Diamonds in the rough always seem to come out more valuable than anticipated and David Hollie is truly a diamond in the rough.
