Top 10 Pitching Prospects at Georgia All Star Games

1. Griffin Potts 5-11 175 LHP Creekview HS 2019

Potts was very athletic in his outing. He k'd 5 of the 8 batters faced. Here's what our Scouts had to say: Griffin had an arm slot that is a low 3/4 delivery. He has an above average fastball which topped at 88. His breaking ball was 77 and is more of an 11/7 with above average break. His change up was 74, and appeared to be more of a circle change that had above average deception and sink. Griffin worked both sides of the plate with his fastball with a great feel for locating this pitch. He landed his breaking ball in the strike zone early and showed good command when ahead on favorable counts. He has special command of his change up and is able to locate this pitch on any count. Griffin did an excellent job when he took the mound. He set the tone working with a good pace, throwing strikes and just looked really comfortable and in control. 

2. Bradley Blalock 6-2 180 RHP Grayson HS 2019

Bradley had an arm slot that is a high 3/4 delivery. He has an above average fastball which topped at 88. His breaking ball was 70 and is more of a 12/6 with really good break. Bradley threw a slider that was 78 which really breaks late and is hard to pick up. His change up was 81, and appeared to be more of a circle change that got a lot of soft contact. Bradley consistently threw his fastball on the outer half for strikes. He commanded his breaking ball consistently in regards to the strike zone and he was able to put the hitter away when ahead in the count. He had good command of his slider. He was able to throw his change up for a strike consistently. Bradley had good mound presence and feel for handling different situations as a pitcher. 

3. Chandler Kendall RHP 6ft 185 Fannin County 2019

Chandler had an arm slot that is a high 3/4 delivery. He has an above average fastball which topped at 86. Chandler threw a slider that was 72 which had good bite to it away from arm side. His change up was 70, and appeared to be more of a circle change that had decent life. Chandler consistently threw his fastball on the outer half for strikes. He had solid command of his slider. He was able to throw his change up for a strike consistently. Chandler has really good presence when he takes the mound. He has great tempo and takes charge of the game. 

4. Warren Stovall LHP 5-10 175 Clinch County 2019

Warren had an arm slot that is a high 3/4 delivery. He has an above average fastball which topped at 86. His breaking ball was 66 and is more of an 11/7 with average break. His change up was 75, and appeared to be more of a circle change that got a lot of soft contact. Warren located his fastball consistently. He had good command of his breaking ball. He was able to throw his change up for a strike consistently. Warren did a good job handling the running game on the mound. He appears comfortable and in control. 

5. William Haberstock 6-3 185 Centennial 2020 RHP

William had an arm slot that is a high 3/4 delivery. He has an above average fastball which topped at 86. His breaking ball was 67 and is more of a 12/6 with good break. His change up was 74, and appeared to be more of a circle change that appeared to have good deception to the hitter. William consistently threw his fastball on the outer half for strikes. He commanded his breaking ball consistently in regards to the strike zone and he was able to put the hitter away when ahead in the count. He was able to throw his change up for a strike consistently. William has really good presence when he takes the mound. He has great tempo and takes charge of the game. 

6. Jake Hill 6-2 175 RHP Forsyth Central 2020

 Jake had an arm slot that is Sub Marine. He showed an average fastball which topped at 79. Jake threw a slider that was 62 which really breaks late and is hard to pick up. Jake located his fastball consistently. He had good command of his slider. Jake did an excellent job when he took the mound. He set the tone working with a good pace, throwing strikes and just looked really comfortable and in control. 

7. Brandon Hasten 6-1 175 LHP East Paulding 2020

Brandon had an arm slot that is side arm. He has an above average fastball which topped at 85. His breaking ball was 69 and is more of an 11/7 with average break. Brandon threw his fastball for strikes consistently. He had good command of his breaking ball. Brandon did a good job handling the running game on the mound. He appears comfortable and in control. 

8. Duncan Lutz 6-5 182 RHP Clinch Co 2019

Duncan had an arm slot that is a high 3/4 delivery. He has an above average fastball which topped at 88. His breaking ball was 68 and is more of a 12/6 with good break. Duncan threw a slider that was 72 which had good bite to it away from arm side. Duncan was inconsistent throwing his fastball for strikes. He had a hard time throwing his breaking ball for a strike. He struggled to throw his slider in the strike zone. Duncan showed average mound presence. He needs to get more comfortable on the mound. 

9. Chandler White 6ft 205 RHP North Oconee 2020

Chandler had an arm slot that is a high 3/4 delivery. He has an above average fastball which topped at 86. Chandler threw a slider that was 76 which had good bite to it away from arm side. His change up was 71, and appeared to be more of a circle change that got a lot of soft contact. Chandler located his fastball consistently. He had solid command of his slider. He had a hard time getting his change up low in the zone. This pitch was often left up in the strike zone. Chandler had good mound presence and feel for handling different situations as a pitcher. 

10. Tyler Denison RHP 6ft 2in 205 Wayne Co 2021

 Tyler had an arm slot that is a low 3/4 delivery. He has an above average fastball which topped at 85. His breaking ball was 73 and is more of an 11/7 with average break. His change up was 75, and appeared to be more of a circle change that had decent life. Tyler threw his fastball for strikes consistently. He had a hard time throwing his breaking ball for a strike. He had ok command of his change up. Tyler is raw on the mound and appears to be more of a thrower at this stage.
